how-to-do guard || mustard >> "Ways to Look EMO"

Usong-uso nga ngayon ang mga Emo. Kahit ako minsan, nagpapaka-Emo pag gusto ko. Masaya kasi kapag nageemo-Emohan ka, parang ang galing ng dating mo - invincible. Hehe... Eneweiz, paano nga pala maging Emo? Here are some infos muna how Emo started and why Emo became a universal sense of style and behavior (?).

Actually, emo
is a style of hardcore punk which describes several independent variations of music with common stylistic roots. In the mid-1980s, the term emo described a subgenre of hardcore punk which originated in the Washington, D.C. music scene. In later years, the term emocore, short for "emotional hardcore", was also used to describe the emotional performances of bands in the Washington, D.C. scene and some of the offshoot regional scenes such as Rites of Spring, Embrace, One Last Wish, Beefeater, Gray Matter, Fire Party, and later, Moss Icon. (Bagama’t di ko alam kung anu-ano yang nasa WikiPedia.Org, basta kinopi payst ko lang. Hehe…)

And that it, then here comes the fashion
emo. Emo is also often associated with a certain fashion. The term "emo" is sometimes stereotyped with tight jeans on males and females alike, long fringe (bangs) brushed to one side of the face or over one or both eyes, dyed black, straight hair, tight t-shirts (sometimes short sleeved) which often bear the names of emo bands (or other designer shirts), studded belts, belt buckles, canvas sneakers or skate shoes or other black shoes (often old and beaten up) and thick, black horn-rimmed glasses. Emo fashion has changed with time. Early trends included straight, unparted hair, tightly fitting sweaters, button-down shirts, and work jackets. This fashion has at times been characterized as a fad.

In recent years the popular media has associated emo with a stereotype that includes being emotional, sensitive, shy, introverted, or angsty. It is also associated with depression, self-injury, and suicide.

Sa akin naman, madali lang magpaka-Emo:

First: Got yourself some long side-swept bangs that can cover one eye and a back hair teased with lots of gel or Gatsby wax.

Second: Be on tight and black jeans and jackets ripped and paired with Converse or kahit ung black school shoes. Basta ba kaya mong panindigan ang magiging emo eh!

Last: Last na ‘to kasi para konti lang at di magastos sayong maging emo.

Now, to get yourself started, dress this emo and then isunod mo na sarili mo...

Enjoy! :)
